Post to present 'Mark Twain' show

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Jim Post will present his award-winning "Mark Twain and the Laughing River" Saturday as a benefit for the Stonefield State Historic Site in Cassville, Wis.

The performance, at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Center for the Arts, will feature 12 songs Post wrote based on stories from Twain's childhood. The author of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," sang tenor and played banjo, guitar and piano.

Post, who lives in Galena, Ill., has recorded 20 albums, mostly original folk music. His "Reach Out of the Darkness" was a hit in ...
