Whoopi Goldberg receives the Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize for American
Humor
WASHINGTON - On Monday, Oct. 15, the nation's capital was able to laugh
again thanks to the gifted talents and overwhelming comforting presence of
comedian, actress, director and producer Whoopi Goldberg. The Academy
Award-winning actress is the fourth recipient of America's highest award
for comedy. Past recipients have included Richard Pryor, Jonathan Winters
and Carl Reiner.
