Summer Vacation
Because he likes their uniforms, Tom joins a church group known as the
Cadets of Temperance. He promises not to smoke, swear or drink as long as he
is a member. No sooner does he pledge, than he discovers an infallible truth
about human nature: to not be permitted to do a thing makes you want to do it
all the more. The only thing that keeps Tom from breaking his pledge is the
