Bernard Rose, creator of the new screen version of "Anna Karenina," isn't a film director. He's a fashion photographer.
After making the flashy B-movies "Paperhouse" and "Candyman," Rose has gone on to write and direct the specious Beethoven biopic "Immortal Beloved" and his current, similarly specious effort, offically titled "Leo Tolstoy's 'Anna Karenina.'
