NORFOLK -- It didn't matter to 17-year-old Jamie Summs that his classmate was only 8 years old. Nor did it matter to 8-year-old Rob Edwards that the subject was philosopher and naturalist Henry David Thoreau - someone he normally wouldn't study until 11th grade.

Throughout Norfolk Academy on Monday, students were pondering a subject they all could understand: the rewards of leading a simple life.
