Henry David Thoreau once said, "Only that traveling is good which reveals to me the value of home and enables me to enjoy it better. The end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."

In the two weeks I spent in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, my outlook on America and the world has been transformed. I have returned from this journey with a greater appreciation for the life that I am so fortunate to be living.
