CONCORD - Henry David Thoreau went to Walden Pond to write and live a self-reliant, independent life. Aram Arakelian goes to Walden Pond for a different reason: to sell ice cream.
Not that Arakelian doesn't appreciate the tranquil beauty of the Walden Woods. On this particular early July afternoon, the temperature hovers in the 70s. Only a few visitors stop at Arakelian's ice cream truck, which he parks a half-mile from where the writer and philosopher lived for two years more than 150 years ago.
