I love my mother, who cooked a meal for us recently and even hemmed my daughter's slacks for her. And I thought, "How great is it that she can still do that at her age?" So today I honor her and all mothers.
Some will spend Mother's Day remembering their loving mothers who are no longer with us. Most mothers form a connection with their children that grabs and holds the heart forever.
As William Makepeace Thackeray once said, "Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of children."
