OSCAR Wilde has joined Ulysses and Jonathan Swift to become the latest name on an Irish Ferry.

The new EU45 million 'Oscar Wilde' cruise ferry will take over from the 'Normandy' on the Rosslare to Cherbourg and Roscoff routes.

Weighing almost 32,000 tonnes, the vessel can take 1,458 passengers and 580 cars along with 62 freight units, making it substantially larger than the 'Normandy'.

Irish Ferries bought the ship from the Norwegian ferry operator Color Line and it will undergo four weeks of refurbishment in dry dock before being put on ...
