Some literary experts believe that the Bigfoot myth might have been a product of literature, particularly of Jonathan Swift's book 'Gulliver's Travels.' Biographers noted that the book was one of the favorite reading materials of American frontiersman, Daniel Boone. Boone may have conjured up the Bigfoot story, which could be based on Swift's hairy creatures called Yahoo. Other woodsmen of the time could have retold Boone's story to villagers who, in turn, promulgated the story further.
