It is a sad day for many who walk through this great city to read of their locally elected council voting (as several other councils in other localities have done) to prevent the building of "big box" stores and to require hotel corporations, who lease prime city-owned property, to sign a "labor peace agreement" with the employees whom they currently hire at low wages and without health care benefits.
