Chapter VII

These conversations Gulliver held with his master (taking place over the
course of two years) were eye-opening experiences for the Englishman. Forced
to view his former life and native country through the superior moral vision
of the Houyhnhnms, Gulliver becomes completely disgusted with the human race
and, even before he has been in Houyhnhnmland for a year, he firmly resolves
never to return home but to spend the remainder of his life with these noble
