The office of Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release:

Senator Susan Collins today announced that she has cosponsored legislation that would investigate the feasibility of Brunswick's Harriet Beecher Stowe House to the National Park Service. The bill, S.662, was recently introduced by Senator Olympia Snowe.

"Brunswick's Stowe House is a treasure and holds a important place in the nation's history," noted Senator Collins. "This legislation is a first step to sharing the Stowe House with all of America."
