Harriet Beecher Stowe House receives recognition.

The Harriet Beecher Stowe House that sits proudly on Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills is recognized as a rich educational resource for Cincinnati.

The house where the author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" resided for three years an din which she wrote her first book, "Geography for Children," is now a historic community building where area youth receive opportunity to expand their education. It is managed by the Citizens' Committee on Youth (CCY) and the Ohio Historical Society.
