ORILLIA, Ont. -- Deciding if one book is funnier than another is never easy, but judges have managed to narrow the list of nominees for the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour to five finalists.
Local readers and a national panel of judges pored over 46 titles before deciding on the top five: Secrets From the Vinyl Cafe by Stuart McLean, JPod by Douglas Coupland, Cockeyed by Ryan Knighton, Tuckahoe Slidebottle by Neil McKinnon and The Passionate Gardener by Des Kennedy.
