Most people know Stephen Leacock as a humorist. Some people know he
was also an economist. Few appreciate the fact that he was also a
historian of some standing. The autobiographical remark above comes
from his address on "The Place of History in Canadian Education,"
Report of the Canadian Historical Association 1925 (1926).
