Constance (Whittemore) Jackson of Yarmouth Port, an illustrator of children's books, died Sept. 15 in Windsor Nursing Home in South Yarmouth. She was 93.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Southborough. She had lived in Wellesley and Scarsdale, N.Y., before moving to Cape Cod in 1967.

She was a graduate of Wellesley College, where she was president of the class of 1921. She also studied portrait painting at the Art Students League of New York.

She illustrated more than 20 textbooks and works of fiction, including Clement Moore's "A Visit from St. Nicholas," Johanna Spyri's "Heidi" and the 13-volume ...
