NEW GLARUS -- Old Swiss traditions will be brought back to life this weekend as New Glarus celebrates its 38th annual Heidi Festival.

Genuine Swiss food, music, dances and entertainment annually bring people from all over the state to this festival. A street dance and treasure hunt bring "Wisconsin's Little Switzerland" closer to its heritage.

The festival is centered around Johanna Spyri's classic Swiss folklore play "Heidi," the tale of a young Swiss girl and her grandfather and their love of the Swiss Alps.
