Kenton's two TD runs spark West victory

TRACY -- Tyler Kenton scored two touchdowns and the West High football team rebounded from last week's ugly loss to Monte Vista with a 20-6 victory over Lincoln of San Francisco on Friday at Peter B. Kyne Field.

West led 14-6 at halftime, and Kenton gave the Wolf Pack (1-2) some room to breathe on its first possession of the second half.

On third-and-1, Kenton took the ball up the middle, where he was met with minimal contact at the line of scrimmage, then raced untouched the rest of the way on a 50-yard touchdown play.

Kenton finished with 185 yards on 29 carries.
