TRACY -- John Lanfranki caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from Justin Evans with less than two minutes to play, lifting the Tracy High sophomore team to a 13-7 win over West on Friday at Peter B. Kyne Field.

Tracy took a 7-0 lead in the first half on a Colin Arbuckle touchdown run. But after West tied the game late in the half on Sergio Alvarez's pass to Anthony Salsedo, the defenses took over.

West's Mufaro Zakers had key interception in the red zone in the second half that kept the game tied.

Tracy defensive back Tyler Daniel had a huge game, with nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
