"She Stoops to Conquer," by CU-Colorado Springs Theatreworks, has all the ingredients of a great comedy: a sparkling script, a talented cast, hilarious costumes and an appropriate, intimate setting. But it hasn't quite cooked up into a souffle yet.

This 1773 Oliver Goldsmith comedy of mistaken identity and class conflict revolves around various deceptions perpetrated on young Marlow, who's been sent by his father to woo the Hardcastle's daughter, Kate.
