The Prince was written 477 years ago, and philosopher Mortimer J. Adler was 70 when the students at Tinley Park High School were born.
But that didn't matter Monday.
The students at Tinley Park High, peppered with questions from Adler, began to see how Niccolo Machiavelli's classic work on getting, keeping and using power applies to today's world.
Maybe even to their own lives.
About 20 honors students participated in the seminar at the school. Adler said he frequently does such seminars with high school students. Tinley Park High had first asked him to come about 18 months ago.
