Scholars from Italy and the United States are meeting on June 20-23, to discuss the work of Niccolo Machiavelli in the first scholarly event to be held at New York University's Tuscan estate La Pietra in Florence. NYU benefactor the late Sir Harold Acton, who for many years made his residence at the estate, left it to the University upon his death in February of this year.
