African-American actor John Whitney is among the cast of the popular Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "The Phantom of the Opera," which returns to the Ohio Theatre for a four-week engagement Wednesday, Aug. 3-Sunday, Aug. 28.

With worldwide box office of more than $3 billion, "Phantom" is the most successful entertainment venture of the past two decades, surpassing such blockbuster films as "Titanic," "E.T." and "Star Wars."
