KUALA LUMPUR: Viewers of the cinema version of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom Of The Opera have given generously to children in need of medical help.
The charity premiere of the movie, based on Gaston Leroux's novel, raised RM40,000 for the National Child Friendly Healthcare Association of Malaysia yesterday.
Premiere sponsor Nescafe Gold presented a mock cheque for the amount to the association's patron Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood at the Golden Screen Cinema of Mid Valley Megamall.
