Rockland, ME's Farnsworth Art Museum has opened the Farnsworth Center for the Wyeth family to celebrate the museum's 50th anniversary on Jun 21, 1998. Its inaugural exhibition, entitled 'Wondrous Strange,' will feature over 100 works by three generations of the Wyeth family and Howard Pyle.

In American art circles the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, has long been held in high regard for its collection of paintings, which focuses on works by artists who painted in the state.
