The Wyeth family has gone west, to Colorado and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

A delightful exhibition called "An American Story: The Wyeth Family Tradition" illustrates with a varied collection of Wyeth art how talent, style, and painterly perceptions have been passed down and changed through successive family generations.

It starts with the lessons patriarch and master illustrator N.C. Wyeth took from his instructor Howard Pyle, and then shows how N.C.'s work influenced that of his three children, Andrew, Henriette and Carolyn. ...
