Nov. 19--Kansas University's music and dance department will present a fall concert by the KU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Lied Center. The orchestra will begin the evening with the "Overture Coriolan, op. 62," by Ludwig van Beethoven. This overture is based on the story of Coriolanus, a hero who is unjustly exiled from Rome. The program also features Vier Letzte Lieder ("Four Last Songs") by Richard Strauss, based on the poems about death by Hermann Hesse and Joseph von Eichendorff.
