Henry Wadsworth Longfellow has returned home.
More than 100 years after the 19th century poet's death, Harvard University has acquired one of the most extensive collections of published and unpublished manuscripts, letters, photographs and memorabilia of the prolific New England writer who lived in Cambridge and taught in the ivy-covered halls. The materials, owned by Newton collector Victor Gulotta, will be placed with other Longfellow writings at Harvard's Houghton Library.
