You may have heard these famous lines of poetry by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow about one of the heroes of the Revolutionary War. Paul Revere was a Boston silversmith and patriot. He is remembered for his brave ride through the Massachusetts countryside to warn the farmers that British troops were coming.
