Brief Summary Of "The Marble Faun":
The entire story takes place in Italy-much of it in Rome. Frequently, the
four main characters are pictured in art galleries of one sort or another, for
three of them are either artists or have some connection with art. The first
scene opens in the sculpture-gallery in the Capitol at Rome where the four
chief individuals of the story gather. One is a "dark-eyed," mysterious young
