Construction teams have begun restoring the rococo palace that houses UNESCO'S World Heritage List library, nearly a year after a fire ravaged the building in the eastern city of Weimar.
Some 50,000 books in the Duchess Anna Amalia Library suffered irreparable damage on Sept. 2, 2004, when a blaze swept through the roof and top floor of the 16th-century palace that was once used by Germany's most revered writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
