The New York Urban League's 42nd Annual Frederick Douglass Dinner was held recently at the Sheraton hotel and Towers at 53 Street and 7th Avenue Manhattan.

A stellar lineup of honorees received the prestigious Frederick Douglass medallion given annually by the New York Urban League. The medallion is emblazoned with words from Douglass that, though written over a century ago, are appropriate today "I know of no rights of race superior to the rights of humanity."
