Rochester Mayor Robert J. Duffy joined a host of other elected officials to break ground Tuesday for the new Frederick Douglass Resource Center, which will be built at 36-38 King Street in the Susan B. Anthony District.

Frederick Douglass Center Executive Director Rev. Errol E. Hunt said the site "will be a visible and tangible institution that will lift up the heritage of African-American contributions to America through the work of Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman and others."
