Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe recently joined Councilmember Melissa Mark-Viverito and community members to break ground on the renovation of Frederick Douglass Playground in Upper Manhattan. Funding for the $1.4 million is being allocated by former Councilmember Phil Reed and City Councilmember Melissa Mark-Viverito.
"Today's groundbreaking is an exciting opportunity to kick off the renovation of this important community playground," said Commissioner Adrian Benepe.
