Frederick Douglass Academy to visit Italy

A group of 60 African-American and Hispanic students, all members of the
Latin Class Program at Harlem-based Frederick Douglass Academy, are
preparing for a trip to Italy next February.

They intend to visit such Italian cities as Rome, Sicily, Florence and
Milan. The trip is expected to cost each student approximately $1,500,
which they are trying to raise.

Parents are welcome, the organizers said, but provided they register and
pay their fees in full by the deadline. The visit to Italy would be from
