Urban League bestows Frederick Douglass medals of honor

New York Urban League bestowed its highest award, the Frederick Douglass
Medal of Honor, upon three distinguished African-Americans last Thursday at
its annual dinner in Manhattan.

Nearly 1,000 guests gathered in the Imperial Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel
to celebrate the tribute to Dr. Roscoe C. Brown Jr., director at CUNY's
Graduate Center for Urban Education Policy; Toni Fay, a senior advisor at
Time Warner Inc.; and Tom Freston, chairman and CEO of MTV Networks.
