NYUL celebrates 40th annual 'Frederick Douglass dinner'

The New York Urban League's (NYUL) highest honor was bestowed upon four
extraordinary citizens at the League's 40th Annual Frederick Douglass
Dinner held on May 18, 2005 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers. Each honoree
took home the prestigious Frederick Douglass Award adorned with words from
Douglass that, though written over a century ago, are appropriate today "I
know of no rights of race superior to the rights of humanity."
