Apr. 4--Arts and crafts furniture is available in many forms. The Roycroft workshops founded by Elbert Hubbard in 1895 and Craftsman furniture by Gustav Stickley are probably the best known names in American Arts and Crafts design. Stickley's catalogs are still being reprinted, as are books to tell you how to make your own furniture.

Magazines and photos circulated widely at the turn of the century, and travel was fairly easy, so most makers borrowed ideas from one another.
