THE Dante Alighieri Society recreated the mystery and magic of the Venice carnival at its annual masked ball.
The colourful affair was held at the Italian Club on Fairway in Durban North on Saturday evening.
Dante Alighieri is an international organisation established to promote the Italian culture and language and this was an evening to celebrate the good life.
Guests arrived in all their regalia. It was an opportunity for women to put on their evening gowns - and, let's face it, there's nothing quite like an Italian man in a suit.
