ADAMS COUNTY -- The sausage was great. The Dream Team was a nightmare. And in the end, Team No. 9 was No. 1.

That's the wrap on Saturday's 10th Dante Alighieri Bocce Bash to benefit the Dante Alighieri Society, which shares the Italian culture and teaches the language.

This was the first tournament for 16 teams at the new bocce courts at Micky's Top Sirloin, on Broadway off 70th Avenue.

Team No. 9 got bragging rights and started immediately, noting the demise of the Dream Team, aka, Mickey Broncucia, Phil Spano, Paolo ...
