Akron Children's Hospital is forming a new division for maternal/fetal medicine to deal with high-risk pregnancies by hiring two of the three Summit County doctors who specialize in that field.

Akron Children's purchased the Akron perinatologist practice of Drs. Stephen Crane and Justin Lavin Jr. The doctors will continue to have offices at Akron City and Akron General hospitals, in addition to their new offices at Akron Children's, said Dr. Crane, who is chief of the new division and also a professor of ob/gyn at the Northeast Ohio Universities ...
