NEW YORK James Ramseur was sentenced Friday to six months in jail for refusing to answer questions at the attempted murder trial of Bernhard Goetz, who shot Ramseur and three companions on a subway train two years ago.
Acting state Supreme Court Justice Stephen Crane ruled Ramseur guilty of six instances of contempt.
Ramseur, 20, became enraged Wednesday when Goetz's lawyer began asking him about what he did in the days before the celebrated Dec. 22, 1984, subway shooting. He refused to answer questions in numerous vitriolic exchanges with lawyer Barry Slotnick.
