One of the four youths shot by Bernhard H. Goetz on a subway train two years ago told a judge he had changed his mind and will testify against Goetz to avoid contempt of court charges.
James Ramseur was to have been sentenced yesterday by Judge Stephen Crane for defying an order last week to testify for the prosecution. Crane indicated that Ramseur would be cleared of the contempt charge after his testimony, expected when the trial resumes Tuesday.
Ramseur, 21, is serving eight to 25 years in prison for pistol whipping and raping a pregnant woman last year. @Slug: A16GOE
