Dec. 3--MYSTIC -- Sharon Wynn stood on the deck of the Joseph Conrad Saturday and wistfully fingered the heavy rope ladder that snakes its way up the tall center mast. Wynn can barely walk these days because Stage 4 cancer has invaded her bones and 12 organs, making it painful for the 64-year-old woman to stand up or sit down, but she cannot resist the lure of that ladder.
