Miguel de Cervantes escribió en 1615 una serie de piezas cortas, que dio en llamar Entremeses y que han sido consideradas durante años, de manera injusta, como obras menores en su producción literaria. Ahora el teatro de La Abadía recupera un montaje de José Luis Gómez y Rosario Ruiz que recoge tres de estas deliciosas piezas: La cueva de Salamanca, El viejo celoso y El retablo de las maravillas.
