Those are just two questions in a psychological test called "Symptom Checklist-90" being administered to 5,000 freshmen in at least three universities in Shanghai.

Authorities are alarmed by the "disproportionate rate" of suicide and depression among students. The test aims to track down students with potential psychological problems so that they can be helped.
