FROM the moment I discovered Wuthering Heights, I longed to experience the wild and windy Yorkshire Dales where Cathy and Heathcliff played out their turbulent romance.

And the scenery in real life was as stunning as I ever envisaged while turning the pages of the Emily Bronte novel.

Watching rabbits hop by, I felt as in touch with nature as Cathy ever was - but with a slight difference, as I'm sure the tragic heroine didn't watch the world go by from the luxury of a bubbling jacuzzi in a three star hotel.

After all, this is the 21st Century, rather than 19th, and you have to move with the ...
