A RARE first edition of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte was bought by an anonymous buyer for Pounds 114,000 at auction today.
It was sold for more than double its estimate at Bonhams by London student Anne Hall, 23.
She was given the book by her grandfather and it had been in her family for four generations. Miss Hall, from Holloway, said: "It was quite a wrench to part with it after all this time but the money will go to pay my fees." She is studying at the London Art College in Southwark..
