A Chinese court has ruled in favour of Frederick Warne and Co, a subsidiary of Penguin Books, banning a state-owned Chinese publishing house from using Beatrix Potter's own illustrations in an unauthorised Chinese-language version of her books.
By ruling in favour of a foreign country the Chinese court made a somewhat unusual decision, after a two-year-long legal battle involving Frederick Warne and Co.
